Guilherme Rocha Murgel de Rezende joined Ulhôa Canto in 1981 and became a partner in 1997. He graduated from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro – PUC/RJ in 1986 and is a specialist on corporate and contract law, with emphasis on joint ventures incorporation and corporate groups restructuring, including acquisition and sell of companies, project finance, tax, wealth planning, entertainment and sports.
He worked at Board of Directors of Fundação Américo Viveiros, at the Board of Director of the Brazilian Bar Association – Rio de Janeiro Chapter, and at the Board of Director of Instituto Compartilhar.
International publications, such as Chambers Global and Chambers Latin America, often acknowledge him as a reference in matters regarding corporate law, and M&A in Brazil.
He was admitted to the Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo Chapters of the Brazilian Bar Association in 1986, and 1999, respectively; he is also a member of the Associação Brasileira de Direito Financeiro – ABDF, and of the International Fiscal Association – IFA. His native language is Portuguese, and he is fluent in English.
